Why Consider Hypnobirth?
Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, is reportedly considering the use of hypnosis to aid in pain control for the birth of her first child. I have always wondered why every mom-to-be does not employ the assistance of hypnobirthing techniques.
After all, what level-headed, straight-thinking, woman would turn her nose up when offered something that is totally natural, has no side effects whatsoever and promises to make for an easier time during childbirth? Surely this is a complete no-brainer?! Hypnosis, when used for this purpose, basically paves the way for a much more comfortable time for mom and also for baby.
So why don’t all moms to be use hypnobirthing techniques? The conclusion that I think I have come to is that the majority of prospective moms either do not know about hypnosis techniques for childbirth, or they do not believe that it will work for them. And this of course leads me to consider the fact that far too many people entertain misconceptions and possibly fears about hypnosis in general due to lack of information or knowledge upon the subject.
The great news now is that in this modern world where information is readily available in an instant, we can Google such subjects and furnish ourselves with valuable information. The key as always lies in knowing what exactly to Google. I would always recommend looking for medical research that has been published in a respected Journal.
If you were to do this in relation to hypnobirthing you would find some extremely interesting studies that produced significant results. Would you like to improve your chances of a swifter delivery? Or a less painful delivery, augmented by less pain medication? Or a swifter recovery time? Again, I would have to say, surely this whole concept of hypnobirthing is a no-brainer?
Hypnosis is a perfectly normal and natural state of mind. It is a natural state of relaxation. Just using hypnosis promotes a sense of calmness, relaxation and well-being. Add to this the fact that when in hypnosis your subconscious mind becomes more open to suggestion and you begin to see the potential of infinitely more benefits.
Your subconscious mind is that part that acts automatically and spontaneously. Hypnotic suggestions can be made that train your mind to expect specific experiences. In the case of hypnobirthing suggestions would of course be made to relax, feel good, reduce pain and experience a comfortable birth.
If you have never thought about hypnosis or entertain unwarranted misconceptions about this subject, then why not simply try hypnosis for yourself? The proof of the pudding is in the eating, as the saying goes! You can obtain a free hypnosis mp3 from my website at any time and try hypnosis in the comfort of your own home.
