The reef off of the eastern coast of Mexico is also a wonderful area to scuba dive and is the second largest in the world. If you stay in one of them, you will learn to dive in the pool, be certified, and be whisked off to fabulous scuba diving locales by a professional guide. To avoid being scammed by someone not really qualified, choose a resort with a solid reputation.
