Shamanism: Medicine for the soul

What do you do if you’d like to learn more about shamanism but you don’t have time to attend a workshop or the dates aren’t right for you?

On solution is to study at home, with the Medicine For The Soul course – a ‘workshop online’ in Classical and Cross-Cultural Shamanism, which captures the essence of a Shamanic Practitioner’s course in a home-study programme you can follow at your own pace. A Certificate or Diploma in Shamanism is awarded to successful candidates at the end of their studies.

As the course builds, you learn about the worlds and cosmology of the shaman, how to journey to these worlds to meet your guides and spirit allies, how to retrieve power for yourself and others, how to heal shamanically, return lost soul parts, remove spirit intrusions, rebalance the energy body, and receive guidance using divinatory techniques. You will also be taught some of the specialist skills of the shaman, such as his work with plant spirits (including baths, oils, and charms you can create for yourself) and the use of rituals and magic.

The course is written to lead you, step-by-step, towards a deep level of confidence. If you elect for the Diploma programme, you will also receive one-to-one guidance and advice, with feedback on the exercises you complete.

Study modules build in exactly the same way as a workshop, taking you through levels of expertise to ensure you are confident with your skills before you move on to the next part.

Subjects include:

Shamanism – what it is and where it comes from
The calling to shamanise – the initiatory crisis (and why you might find yourself taking this course)

There is no pressure with this course. Deepening into shamanism is not something to be hurried. You choose for yourself when to move on to the next study module. If you are on the Certificate course, this will be whenever you feel competent with a new skill and ready to move forward. If you have chosen the Diploma course, it is whenever your homework assignments have been completed and assessed, and any subsequent work suggested has been undertaken, giving you a deeper and more personal experience of shamanism.

Since 2004, there has been a 100% pass rate.

I am really enjoying the course! It is all that I hoped it would be. It is challenging my old world view and I am thoroughly enjoying the transformation. Many thanks!
Richard (2005 Graduate)

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed your shamanism course. I got a lot from it and as I continue to practice, develop, and walk the path I’m sure I will continue to build upon the elements of this
Sarah (2006 Graduate)

I have found this home course rewarding, it has given me the opportunity to explore avenues which I haven’t had time in the past to do. It has been good to focus and realize that it’s the simple things we do in life which have the most profound effect. Compassion for others and generosity of spirit, things which are so needed in our chaotic society which seems so out of balance
Robert (2006 Graduate)

Thank you for offering this opportunity. Living where I do, opportunities such as these are not common. It is much appreciated
Peter (2007 Student)

I have great enthusiasm for this course as it seems to have brought all of my previous work (with shamanism as well as my therapy training) into line!
Mark (2007 Graduate)

I feel so much better for having done this powerful work; I am in a difficult transition in my life and feel this work will be a great foundation
Lizzie (2007 Graduate)
