How to Grow Taller – 3 Things You Need to Know

Being tall is something that most people take for granted. If you were born with the short gene and you had to struggle your way through school with always being the “shortie” then you know what I am talking about. Part of the problem is simply that the media and popular culture has tagged being tall as being attractive.

Although the idea of living in a non-prejudice society is the commonly accepted norm, the reality is that people do have a prejudice towards short people. People with dwarfism are often ridiculed – sometimes in public and sometime even on television.

For those of us who had to grow up with the height challenge there are ways to fix it and although you won’t grow twenty inches taller, you can add as much as ten inches. In some cases people have been able to grow taller by as much as twenty five inches, but these are very rare cases and is the exception rather than the rule.

The most common treatment for growing taller is hormone treatments. Since your growth is determined by our hormones, it’s the obvious solution. Extensive research has been done on Human Growth Hormones (HGH) and most doctors seem very reluctant to support these treatments simply because they can be very dangerous and have detrimental long term effects to your health.

Growing taller is a very specific growth pattern in the human body and one that you don’t want to tamper with recklessly. While trying to grow taller with human growth hormones, the treatments have found it’s way into the bodybuilding industry. Many of the steroids that these freaky big body builders use are nothing but growth hormones that can spark rapid and often uncontrollable muscle growth.

The side effects of growth hormones are obvious when you look at what it does to most bodybuilders. Using it as a quick fix for growing taller can be very dangerous. If you do decide that you want to go that path, then you need to make sure you seek the help and care of an experienced doctor. You might find that the cost of the treatment is not worth it as results vary greatly. Also, if you plan on having kids then messing with your hormones is not a good idea.

So if hormone treatments are out, what can you do? There’s a couple of remarkable cases of people who had phenomenal results with hypnosis. I for one, don’t buy the whole hypnosis thing, but the fact remains that it can and has been very successful.

As a first option you might want to consider some more tried and tested methods. Most people are looking for the magic pill that will make them grow taller overnight. The truth is that over time you can easily add five to ten inches to your height by using safe, simple and proven techniques. Many athlete use these techniques and they are gimmick free. In the end those who run after the next miracle fix are usually just left disappointed.
