Government Computer Training

The US Government was one of the first to pick up on computer training for its sprawling and diverse, departments of varying skill levels and tasks.  Computer training is available online for everything from the department of education to the department of transport; from the department of constitutional affairs to the department of health; along with many others.
 
What makes the government so keenly suited to computer online training is their need to maintain uniformity in their decrees, rulings, judgments, and decisions.  The letter of the law is not something to be argued, it’s unequivocal.  To keep information coming and going in an efficient manner, assurances that this information is correct are important.  If you are interested in writing the letter of the law, you should at least have a letter that stands up the same all the time.
 
Human resources training at the department of labor and statistics are one of the departments that uses online computer training to find and train members.  Statistics are numbers that should always be tracked and interpreted in a uniform fashion; not only is their online implementation effective, but it keeps information flowing a freely uniform manner.  

What’s interesting about online computer certification is the blossoming of an entire sub-industry to cater to the test taking community.  The testing is often given on computers at an unrelated test site where people arrive with only the knowledge they have.  This tactic levels the playing field, for sure.  But to offer these tests, you have test centers (“Sylvan” is a very popular test center) and to get the leg up on these supposedly ‘fair’ tests, you have experts, or the even more unfair, disgruntled geeks with access to an answer key selling the key to the highest bidder.  So in our attempt at making things more fair and in a search for the best, we’ve created another excuse for the richest and most dishonest to get ahead.
 
The computer security act of 1987 was a law, enacted in 1988 by Congress that ensured Federal government employees have a high threshold for operating and maintaining their systems.  All Americans information can be found in systems such as these; US government keeping their information transference and technology up to speed are of paramount importance in such a sensitive day and age.
 
Computers are now found everywhere, from the boardroom to the classroom; at work and in the home they are an escapable reality in American life in all spheres.  Being comfortable operating with and integrating them around your day to day, in ever changing, sometimes unfamiliar ways, should make your getting from A to B much easier.  The important thing to remember about the American government is that it is just so huge and is staffed at multiple levels.  Often it can be set up such that you may be dealing with an “attendant” that knows exactly what they’re talking about and they work for a ‘manager’ who is completely inept!  Has less knowledge of what goes on on the front lines and what ‘the people’ actually think than their workers.  So learn your computers! It will be much easier to get what you need and be happy and successful in this world that has become ever more reliant on this ever illusive screen and box.
