* Washing your hair at least three times a week.
* Avoiding the use of chemicals on the scalp, such as those used in hair colouring.
* Making sure that you have enough vitamins such as zinc, beta-carotene, B6, B12 and selenium in your diet.
* Regular daily brushing.
