Have you ever met someone who was a drama queen and totally controlled by unhappiness? Someone who reveled in misery and became a psychic black hole? Their lives are miserable and complaining or blame is their only response. Negative energy is something we are all familiar with, but it isn’t something we all have to live with. If you want to live a life full of joy, prosperity and laughter you just have to remember you have a choice. Life will always surprise you with challenges, but how you handle them is entirely up to you. Is the glass half full or half empty? Here are some not-so-secret secrets to creating your own reality that are very simple.
Whip up a feeling of gratitude for all that you already have. You are richer than 80 percent of the inhabitants on the planet. In America we have been given an incredible opportunity to live a lifestyle most of the global community never gets to experience. Count your blessings, write them down and display them on your refrigerator or your desk at work. As you begin to focus on the beautiful gifts the world has given you your life will change and so will the way you view yourself and others. Once you have focused on being thankful you can bet the Universe will respond by giving you more things to be grateful for!
Decide exactly what you want. Desire is the driving force behind almost everything in our three dimensional world. When our bodies want nourishment we desire to eat, when the flowers open in the morning it is because they want sun, when a dog barks it wants to be noticed. The reason most people don’t get what they want is because they keep changing their minds! Deciding what we want isn’t always the easiest task. It often involves making a choice or a decision. The real truth is we CAN have our heart’s desire, if we are connected to it.
Visualize what your life will look and FEEL like when your dreams come true! Too often we are told to stop daydreaming and goofing off, to be serious! By the time we are adults we don’t realize we have been brainwashed into believing that dreaming is lazy and imagining things is crazy. Not only can we dream about what our lives will be like; we can imagine how it feels to have all of the things we have ever wanted! Gloria Steinem says, “Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.” So, start making your plans right now and watch what happens when dreams really do come true.
Dwell only upon the end result and let the Universe take care of the details. Many people are confused and believe that to create your own reality you must have control, but it isn’t necessary to control the world around you, just the way you think, act and believe. Buddha said, “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.” Emotions, circumstances, other people: all of these are subject to change without our permission. Our thoughts and feelings are the key! If we dwell on where we are going rather than how long it will take to get there the ride will be much more fun! A plane ride can be long and tiring, but the moment you put your first toe in the clear, blue waters of the Caribbean you know it was worth the effort. Keep your eye on the prize and let the rest of the world happen naturally.
Be grateful for what you are about to receive. Live in gratitude for that which is on its way to you! Start saying thank you, not just for the past, but also for the future. Be thankful for the ripe old age you know you are going to live to. Shout with joy about how grateful you are that someday you will meet the love of your life. Say thank you to the Universe for the satisfaction you will feel when the perfect job finds you.
These actions will change you and therefore your reality because YOU are your reality. Being alive is a gift and to behave in any other way is to lose sight of why we are here….to create joy! So, open up the doors of possibility and let some fresh air in. It’s time to clear out the old beliefs and start anew!
