Kid Metal Detector
Kids Can have Fun with Metal Detectors
One of the good ways to let your kid enjoy and have fun is through treasure hunting or coin shooting by using kid metal detector. Metal detectors for kids are simple, fun and it works just like metal detectors for adults. The good thing here is that kids may learn a little bit of science.
Treasure hunting and coin shooting would be fun way inn learning the basic of solid chemistry. Kids would be able to identify and observe the response of the instrument in differentiating compounds based only in resounding marks.
Hand held metal detector is perfect for kids who are looking for a great adventure. Giving them a gift of education and a perfect adventure would bring them in having a wonderful hobby. It would help grow their imaginations and be able to explore different kinds of metal.
Lots of people spend their day looking for coins in beaches. They use consumer metal detector to detect coins. Most of metal detectors are good in detecting metals underneath the ground or within a foot. But the detection depth still depends on the type and size of metal that is buried, metal detector that is being used, type of metal in the ground and other objects buried.
There are five types of hobbies that involve metal detector your kids can choose from:
1.) Treasure hunting. In treasure hunting, your kids would be looking for some hidden treasure by using the metal detector.
2.) Prospecting. Another way of looking or finding some valuable metals like silver and gold.
3.) Coin shooting. Usually, it is done after an event where there are many people involved like concerts, baseball game and other outdoor events. There are some coin shooters that really spend their days and months looking for some old coins for their collections.
4.) Beach combing. Beach combing is hunting of jewelries and lost coins on a beach. Looking for some coins or jewels in beaches is as simple or sometimes as complicated as you want it. If you want to make it simple, try to familiarize the beach erosion and the tide movements.
5.)Relic hunting. Relic hunting is similar to coin shooting only that a relic hunter looks or hunts for any historical artifact and usually they are dedicated and very determined in what they do. They collect and preserve historical artifacts. Mini balls, coins, buckles, axe heads and buttons are just some of the items and metals that are usually found and preserve by relic hunters.
But of course to be able to do these, kids must first know how to use or operate the metal detector. Kids must know the steps that apply to use metal detectors.
First step is by tuning the detector in the ground. Through this the detector would be adjusted that it would recognize the ground as the medium for targets. Once done, the detector is now ready to begin searching for targets. Placing a loop above the ground is quite critical for the desired performance. Hold detector at arm length and the loop must barely touch the ground. Through this the detector will now function correctly and it is now ready to sweep some metals. Using a method like this will reduce the chances of passing over a target.
Now, the detector is ready to use. Let your kid experience a different kind of adventure where he would enjoy and learn some new lessons.
